Western Canada

I was always curious why people talked about things to do and see in Western Canada so much until I got the chance to explore it myself. With unending destinations to explore, this is now one of my favorite places in the world.

So, fasten your seatbelts and open your minds for a great adventure to the best places of Western Canada I had the privilege to explore over time. My guide is going to take you on a virtual tour of these places and probably convince you why should also plan a visit.

Medicine Lake

Picture a lake that seems to appear and disappear like magic. That’s Medicine Lake for you. This wondrous lake is not like the ordinary ones you might have seen.

During the summer months, it’s shining with crystal-clear water, reflecting the towering mountains and lush forests around it. But when winter approaches, a curious thing happens, the lake starts to vanish.

It’s like nature’s very own magic trick which I found fascinating. However, it is a simple thing. Beneath the lake lies a network of underground caves and passages.

As winter arrives and the temperature drops, these hidden passages freeze up, causing the lake’s water to drain away.

Why You Should Visit It

You might think why Medicine Lake is among the best things to do and see in Western Canada and why you should even spend your time on it. Medicine Lake isn’t just a place; it’s a story waiting to be discovered.

It’s a chance to witness nature’s incredible magic and learn about the science behind it. It’s a playground for outdoor fun, especially if fishing is on your list.

Jasper National Park

We all love mountains and animals, however, when someone talks about wildlife, the first thought that comes to mind is Africa. But what if I told you that you can have the same adventure in western Canada too?

The Jasper National Park is a land where towering mountains touch the sky, charming lakes mirror the heavens, and wildlife roams freely. This magical park is like a playground given to us humans by nature itself and therefore stands among the things to do and see in Western Canada at all costs.

Whether it is exploring the rocky mountains or having a romantic afternoon at the beautiful Maligne Lake and Pyramid Lake, this lake has it all. You can hike if you want to or can simply choose kayaking.

Athabasca Glacier: A Frozen Wonder

Now, get ready to experience something truly amazing, the Athabasca Glacier. It’s like a frozen river of ice that seems to go on forever. Imagine walking in this icy wonderland, feeling the crunch beneath your feet.

Note: It’s chilly up there, so bring your warmest jacket.

Why You Should Visit

Jasper National Park isn’t just a place; it’s a whole world waiting to be explored. It’s a chance to hike through alpine meadows, paddle on pristine lakes, and connect with nature in a way you’ve never experienced before.
